You have to go through 3 stages of exams and tests for RPF selection (कांस्टेबल भर्ती).

These 4 stages are:Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification (DV)

RPF SI and Constables Exam Pattern (CBT)

Phase I Computer Based Test RPF Exam Pattern are given below. 1/3 marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer. CBT shall be held at different centers across the country simultaneously for all the Groups. The standard of the examination will be 10th/Matric level

RPF SI and Constables Exam Pattern Phase II (PET, PMT)

Phase II includes Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Measurement Test. Based on the merit in Phase I, candidates will be called for Phase II. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded. PET & PMT Exam Pattern are given below

RPF Document Verification Phase III (DV)

Based on your performance in CBT and subject to your qualifying in PET & PMT, you will be called for Document Verification (DV).

In cases of two or more candidates securing same marks, their merit position shall be determined by the age criteria i.e. older person shall be given higher seniority.

The aspirants must produce all original documents in support of their educational qualification, age, SC/ST/OBC status, where applicable domicile and any other extracurricular activities including NCC at the time of Viva-Voce and documents verification.

Your appointment is subject to your passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by Railway Administration, final verification of educational and category certificates, verification of character and antecedents of the candidates from the local Administration and successful completion of initial training.

The following documents in original, as well as their self-attested photocopies, will be required for verification in respect of candidates who qualify in PET/PMT.

  • 10th/Matriculation certificate as proof of age.
  • 10th/Matriculation certificate as proof of educational qualification.
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in the format prescribed for employment under Central Government.
  • Discharge certificate for Ex-Serviceman.
  • Two copies of self-attested color photograph
  • No Objection Certificate(NOC) from the present employer in case of serving Govt. employees.
  • Domicile certificate wherever applicable.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for the post shall be advised to ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post/examination. Once you will meet the eligibility criteria of post then you can apply for RPF. Date of birth mentioned in Matriculation or equivalent certificate alone shall be acceptable. Age will be counted as on 1st July of the year if notification is issued between January and June; and ” 1st January of next year if notification is issued between July & December. Advertisement must specify cut-off dates for eligibility, for example “born between July 02, 1990 and July 01, 1997 (both days inclusive)”

Special provisions for ex-servicemen: Definition of “Ex-serviceman” shall be included in notifications, clearly mentioning that it does not include retired/discharged personnel of’ Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs). Ex-Servicemen will be required to clearly indicate all required particulars including community in the ONLINE Application and produce all documentary proofs including Community certificates in the prescribed format during document verification. Age may be relaxed beyond upper limit by 03 years for UR, 6 years for OBC and 8 years for SC/ ST after deduction of military service rendered (minimum of’ 6 months after attestation) from actual age as on the date of reckoning.

PET/ PMT

All candidates qualifying in 1600 mts/800 mts will be measured for eligibility with respect to height and chest. Chest measurements will be taken only for male candidates. If a male candidate’s unexpanded chest measurement is below eligibility limit, measurement for expansion of chest shall not be taken and he shall be treated as disqualified. Male candidates who do not have minimum height shall not be considered for measurements of chest and shall be treated as disqualified. Candidates who do not have minimum height, chest (unexpended/expended) (if applicable) shall be treated as having failed in PMT.
