Exam Pattern

The TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is a critical examination for students seeking admission into professional courses offered in the state of Telangana. This entrance exam is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of TSCHE. Aspiring candidates can better prepare by understanding the exam pattern and marks scheme which are key to strategizing their preparation.

The TS EAMCET follows a structured format comprising multiple-choice questions divided among three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering aspirants and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for those aiming for agriculture and medical courses. Each question paper is designed for a maximum of 160 questions, with 80 marks dedicated to Mathematics/Biology and 40 marks each for Physics and Chemistry, summing up to a total of 160 marks. This examination does not include any negative marking, which is a significant detail for candidates as they plan their answering strategy.

  • The duration of the exam is 180 minutes, thus providing ample time for students to allocate sufficient time to each section.
  • Understanding previous years' question papers can give insights into the type and difficulty level of the questions generally asked.
  • It's recommended that students focus equally on all subjects and prepare thoroughly to maximize their scoring potential.
