If ∆ PQR ∼ ∆ ABC, PQ = 6 cm, AB = 8 cm, and perimeter of ∆ ABC is 36 cm, then perimeter of ∆ PQR is
Solution:  
Let perimeter of ∆ PQR be x cm.
Since triangles are similar,
  PQAB=  Perimeter ofPQRPerimeter ofABC\; \frac{PQ}{AB} = \; \frac{\text{Perimeter of} \triangle PQR}{\text{Perimeter of} \triangle ABC}
  68=  x36\Rightarrow \; \frac{6}{8} = \; \frac{x}{36}
x=  6×368\Rightarrow x = \; \frac{6 \times 36}{8}
x=27.\Rightarrow x = 27.
∴ Perimeter of ∆ PQR = 27 cm.
