Exam Pattern
The AP EAPCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) is a crucial examination for students aspiring to enter professional courses in these fields within the state. This exam follows a specific pattern that candidates should be familiar with to enhance their preparation strategy. The test is divided into three sections, namely Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for engineering aspirants, and Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics, and Chemistry for those interested in Agriculture and Pharmacy courses.
The total duration of the AP EAPCET is three hours, and the question paper consists of 160 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Specifically, for engineering candidates, Mathematics carries 80 questions, while Physics and Chemistry each have 40 questions. On the other hand, Agricultural and Pharmacy students will face 40 questions each in Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry. Each correct answer is awarded one mark, and thankfully, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers, allowing candidates to attempt all questions without the risk of losing marks unnecessarily.
Familiarizing oneself with the exam pattern, marking scheme, and subject details is imperative for performing well. Prospective test-takers are encouraged to solve previous year papers and mock tests to gauge the examination’s difficulty level and structure, thereby optimizing their study plans.
