What happens when CH3Br\mathrm{CH}_3-\mathrm{Br} is treated with KCN\mathrm{KCN} ?

When CH3Br\mathrm{CH}_3-\mathrm{Br} react with KCN\mathrm{KCN}, it produce methylnitrile. It is a nucleophilic substitution reaction which take place by SN2\mathrm{SN}^2 Mechanism
CH3Br+KCNCH3CN\mathrm{CH}_3-\mathrm{Br}+\mathrm{KCN} \rightarrow \mathrm{CH}_3-\mathrm{CN} +KBr+\mathrm{KBr}
