Ptotal=XAPA∘+XBPB∘P_{\text{total}} = X_A P^\circ_A + X_B P^\circ_B
=   13×45+  23×30\; \frac{1}{3} \times 45 + \; \frac{2}{3} \times 30
= 15 + 20
PtotalP_{\text{total}} = 35 torr
∵Ptotal\because P_{\text{total}} = 35 torr
but actual pressure is 40 torr, thus shows that solution shows positive deviation from ideal solution.
