Question : 9 of 29
Marks: +1, -0
Find the sum of the following vectors:
a⃗\vec{a} = i^−2j^\hat{i}-2\hat{j} , b⃗\vec{b} = 2i^−3j^2\hat{i}-3\hat{j} , c⃗\vec{c} = 2i^+3k^2\hat{i}+3\hat{k}
Solution:
Sum of the vectors,
a⃗\vec{a} + b⃗\vec{b} + c⃗\vec{c} = (i^−2j^)(\hat{i}-2\hat{j}) + (2i^−3j^)(2\hat{i}-3\hat{j}) + (2i^+3k^)(2\hat{i}+3\hat{k})
= 5i^−5j^+3k^5\hat{i}-5\hat{j}+3\hat{k}
