Find the minor of the element of second row and third column (a23a_{23}) in the following determinant:
∣2−3560415−7∣\begin{vmatrix} 2 & -3 & 5 \\ 6 & 0 & 4 \\ 1 & 5 & -7 \end{vmatrix}
Solution:  
Given determinant = ∣2−3560415−7∣\begin{vmatrix} 2 & -3 & 5 \\ 6 & 0 & 4 \\ 1 & 5 & -7 \end{vmatrix}
Minor of the element a23a_{23} is M23M_{23}
Obtained by deleting III column and II row
M23M_{23} = ∣2−315∣\begin{vmatrix} 2 & -3 \\ 1 & 5 \end{vmatrix}
= 10 - (- 3)
= 13
