In an ac circuit, the instantaneous values of current (in A) and voltage (in V) are I=5sinωtI = 5 \sin \omega t and E=200cos(ωt+π3)E = 200 \cos\left(\omega t + \frac{\pi}{3}\right) respectively. The phase 3 difference between voltage and current at any instant is:
Solution:  
π3+π2=2π+3π6\frac{\pi}{3} + \frac{\pi}{2} = \frac{2\pi + 3\pi}{6}
=5π6= \frac{5\pi}{6}
