When few drops of dilute sulphuric acid is added to Salt ' RR ' and heated, a colourless gas is released which turnsmoist lead acetate paper silvery black.
Solution:
' RR ' is sodium sulphide. When it heated with. dil. H2SO4\mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{SO}_4 a colourless gas H2S\mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{S} is released which turns moist lead acetate paper to silvery black, due to the formation of lead sulphide.
  Na2S’R’+  H2SO4dil.→  Na2SO4+H2S↑\;\mathrm{Na}_2\mathrm{S}_{\text{'R'}} + \;\mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{SO}_{\underset{\text{dil.}}{4}} \rightarrow \;\mathrm{Na}_2\mathrm{SO}_4 + \mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{S} \uparrow
(CH3COO)2Pb+H2S→PbS Black (\mathrm{CH}_3\mathrm{COO})_2\mathrm{Pb} + \mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{S} \rightarrow \mathrm{PbS}_{\text{ Black }} +CH3COOH+ \mathrm{CH}_3\mathrm{COOH}
Anion is S2−\mathrm{S}^{2-} (Sulphide)
