What is the value of the mechanical advantage of the given pulley system if it is an ideal pulley system?
Solution:  
Here, the tension in the four segments of the string supports the load LL.
∴  L  =4  T   and   E=T\therefore \; L \; =4 \; T \; \text{ and } \; E = T
∵  M. A.  =LE\because \; \text{M. A.} \; = \frac{L}{E}
  =  4TT=4\; = \; \frac{4T}{T} = 4
