Question : 9 of 65
Marks: +1, -0
x + x2+x3\frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{3} < 11
Solution:
The inequality is x + x2+x3\frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{3} < 11
Simplifying, 6x+3x+2x6\frac{6x+3x+2x}{6} < 11 or 11x6\frac{11x}{6} < 11
Multiplying both sides by 611\frac{6}{11} , we get x < 6
∴ The solution is (– ∞, 6).
