Question : 1 of 36
Marks: +1, -0
If (x3+1,y23)\left(\frac{x}{3} + 1 , y - \frac{2}{3}\right) = (53,13)\left(\frac{5}{3},\frac{1}{3}\right) , find the values of x and y.
Solution:
Since the ordered pairs are equal. So, the corresponding elements are equal.
x3\frac{x}{3} + 1 = 53\frac{5}{3} and y - 23\frac{2}{3} = 13\frac{1}{3}x3=531\frac{x}{3}=\frac{5}{3}-1 nad y = 13+23\frac{1}{3}+\frac{2}{3} ⇒ x = 2 and y = 1
