State the meaning of Environmental crisis and its impact on resources.

Environmental crisis is a situation of unsustainability when the environment of a geographical area is too stressed to support the normal living of the inhabitants of the area. For example, Cape Town of South Africa is on the verge of being a dry city in a short period of time. Such situation takes place when there is excessive consumption of non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels and mineral, deforestation, the over use of water etc. This results in the depletion of resources which either aren't replenish or take a very long time to get replenished. This makes human life tougher.
