This picture depicts the sick and serious condition of earth due to alarming rate of environment pollution.
Earth is suffering in following ways:
(i) Degradation of Land: It means loss of fertility of land due to inappropriate usage like deforestation, use of chemicals and fertilizers, excessive extraction of ground water etc.
(ii) Loss of Bio-diversity: Increasing population, degradation of land and deforestation are the main causes threatening the biodiversity. A lot of flora and fauna biodiversity are critically endangered.
(iii) Air and Water Pollution: Emissions from vehicles and industrialisation etc. are responsible for polluting the air. Industrial wastes, use of pesticides and chemicals etc. are responsible for water pollution. Contaminated air and water have deteriorated the quality of life on earth.
