Mr. Lamb tried to put Derek at ease when he entered Mr. Lamb's garden with his reassuring and kind words. Mr. Lamb realised that Derry was startled by his presence in the garden. He told Derry that he did not mind strangers entering his garden and so Derry should not be afraid of anything.
