(i) Ovary : Production of female hormones; oestrogen and progesterone and production of female gametes.
(ii) Oviduct : Transfer of female gametes from the ovary to the site of fertilisation.
(iii) Uterus : Implantation of zygote and nourishment of developing embryo.
Placenta is a disc like tissue embedded in the mother's uterine wall. It is connected to the foetus by umbilical cord. Through placenta glucose, oxygen etc. are passed from mother's blood to the foetus.
