Transfers: Transfers involves shifting of an employee from one job to another, one department to another or from one shift to another, without a change in the responsibilities and status of an employee.
Promotions: It involves shifting of an employee to higher position carrying higher responsibilities, facilities status and pay. Vacant positions a the higher level are filled by suitably promoting employees from the lower level. To continue to work with greater efficiency and productivity, an employees needs encouragement and motivation which can be done through promotions.
