The vapour density of a gas is 8 . What would be the volume occupied by 24.0g24.0\,\mathrm{g} of the gas at STP?
Solution:  
Molecular Weight=2×VD\text{Molecular Weight}=2 \times VD
=2×8=2 \times 8
=16g=16\,\mathrm{g}
Volume of 16g16\,\mathrm{g} gas at STP =22.4l=22.4\,\mathrm{l}
\therefore Volume of 24g24\,\mathrm{g} gas at STP =22.416×24=\frac{22.4}{16} \times 24
 = 33.6 litres. \text{ = } 33.6 \text{ litres. }
