2C2H6+7O24CO2+6H2O.2\mathrm{C}_2\mathrm{H}_6+7\mathrm{O}_2 \rightarrow4\mathrm{CO}_2+6\mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{O}.
If 1250 cc of oxygen is burnt with 300 cc300\ \mathrm{cc} of ethane.

If 2 vol. of C2H6\mathrm{C}_2\mathrm{H}_6 forms 4 vol. of CO2\mathrm{CO}_2 then 300cc300\,\mathrm{cc} of C2H6\mathrm{C}_2\mathrm{H}_6 forms   42×300\;\frac{4}{2} \times 300
=600cc   of   CO2=600\,\mathrm{cc}\;\text{ of }\;\mathrm{CO}_2
