What is the weight of the half metre rule?
Solution:  
Let the weight of half metre rule be ' WW ' gf.
According to the principle of moments,
Anticlock wise moments
= Clockwise moments = \text{ Clockwise moments }
∴W×4=20×21\therefore W \times 4 = 20 \times 21
⇒W=20×214=105 gf \Rightarrow W = \frac{20 \times 21}{4} = 105 \text{ gf }
