Diabetes insipidus is caused by the deficiency of Antidiuretic hormone called Vasopressin.
Diabetes mellitus is caused due to under secretion of insulin in which the glucose level of blood increases. Whereas in Diabetes insipidus the reabsorption of water is reduced due to deficiency of Vasopressin and it causes excess urination.
