Synapse : Synapse is the point of contact between the terminal branches of the axon of a neuron with the dendrites of another neuron separated by a fine gap.
The outer portion of the cerebrum contains cell bodies or cytons of the neurons known as Gray matter.
The inner portion consist of white matter which mainly contains the axons of the neurons.
