Given : Mass of organic compound = 0.3780 g Mass of silver chloride = 0.5740 g 1 mol of AgCl = 143.5 g 143.5 g of AgCl contains 35.5 g of Cl ∴ 0.5740 g of AgCl contains = 0.142 g 0.142 g of Cl is present in 0.3780 g of the compound % of Cl in compound = × 100 = 37.56 %
