Question : 40 of 52
Marks: +1, -0
27x210x+127x^2-10x+1 = 0
Solution:
We have , 27x210x+127x^2-10x+1 = 0
Comparing the given equation with the general form ax2ax^2 + bx + c = 0,
we get a = 27, b = – 10, c = 1
∴ x = b±b24ac2a\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a} = 10±(10)24×27×12×27\frac{10\pm\sqrt{(-10)^2-4\times27\times1}}{2\times27}
= 10±10010854\frac{10\pm\sqrt{100-108}}{54} = 10±854\frac{10\pm\sqrt{-8}}{54} = 10±i854\frac{10\pm i\sqrt{8}}{54} = 5±i227\frac{5\pm i\sqrt{2}}{27}
