Point (–6, 0, 0) ; Plane (2x – 3y + 6z – 2 = 0)

Solution:

The given plane is

2x – 3y + 6z – 2 = 0 ...(1)

∴ Distance of (–6, 0, 0) from plane (1)

= \left| \frac{2(-6)-3(0)+6(0)-2}{\sqrt{4+9+36}} \right|

= \left| \frac{-14}{7} \right| = 2
