Given: A alone can complete a work in 22 days B can complete the same work in 33 days A left the work after 3 days of working together Concept Used: One day work of a worker $= \frac{1}{n}$ Where, n = number of days to complete the work Calculation: One day’s work done by $A = \frac{1}{22}$ One day’s work done by $B = \frac{1}{33}$ Work done by (A + B) together in 1 day $= \frac{1}{22} + \frac{1}{33} = \frac{5}{66}$ So, Work done by (A + B) together in 3 days $= 3 \times \frac{5}{66} = \frac{5}{22}$ Remaining work $= 1 - \frac{5}{22} = \frac{17}{22}$ 1 work completed by B = 33 days Hence, $\frac{17}{22}$ part of work completed by $B = 33 \times \frac{17}{22} = 25.5$ days
