Formula Used: if the successive discount percents are a% and b% Then equivalent discount $= \left[ (a+b) - \frac{ab}{100} \right] \%$ Calculation: According to the question Equivalent Discount $= (10+5) - \frac{10 \times 5}{100} = 14.5$ ⇒ Cost price of scooter after discounts $= 2600 \times \left( \frac{85.5}{100} \right) = 2223$ Again, According to the question Cost of scooter after repairing = 2223 + 477 = 2700 ⇒ Selling price of scooter = 2835 Profit percentage $= \left[ \frac{2835 - 2700}{2700} \right] \times 100$ ⇒ 5 ∴ Profit percentage is 5%.
