Buxa tiger reserve is located in West Bengal which covers an area of 760 km2. It was established in 1983 as the 15th Tiger Reserve in India. Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the districts of Idukki and Pathanam thitta in Kerala. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. It was declared as the Periyar National Park in 1982 . Sariska National Park is a tiger reserve in Alwar district. It was declared a National Park in 1990. Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary is located in the Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. The wild life sanctuary was established in 1972 and came under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.
