Then, using a scale factor greater than 1, he scaled the parallelogram so that the longer diagonal of the scaled parallelogram was 44 feet. What is the area, in square feet, of the scaled parallelogram?

11\,\text{in} \times 12 = 132 \, \text{ in or } \, 11\,\text{ft} \, \text{. } \,

11\,\text{ft} \times 4 = 44\,\text{ft}

8.5\,\text{in} \times 12 = 102

in or

8.5\,\text{ft}

8.5\,\text{ft} \times 4 = 34\,\text{ft}

44 \times 34 = 1496
