Passage:
Ministry of Railways has invited bids for operating of passenger train services over 109 routes, using 151 modern trains on the existing rail infrastructure. It is the first step ever in the direction of private investment for running passenger trains over the Indian Railways network. An estimated ₹30,000 crore investment is expected, beginning from 2023.
