After removing 10% of registered people, the participants remain the same, so new non-participants are found by subtracting participants from the new registered count.

Explanation:

A: 230 - 185 = 45

B: 220 - 195 = 25

D: 280 - 215 = 65

E: 260 - 225 = 35

Total registered

= 230 + 220 + 240 + 280 + 260 = 1230

Total participants

= 185 + 195 + 175 + 215 + 225 = 995

After removing 10% of registered people, new total registered

= 1230 \times 90\% = 1107
