Directions: Below is given a passage followed by several possible inferences, which can be drawn from the facts stated in the passage? You have to examine each inference separately in the context of the passage and decide upon its degree of truth or falsity.
During the decade of 70’s the growth rate of population in India was 2.25 percent per annum. From 80s through 90’s there is a change in the growth rate and for 1996-2001 growth rate is about 1.86 and is expected to reach 1.62 percent during 2006-2011. Similarly, the expectation of life which at present is about 64 for female and 61 for male population will grow to 69 for female and 65 for male. In absolute terms, the population of India will cross a billion mark by the turn of the century and will increase to 1180 million by year 2011.
