Directions: Read the given graph carefully and answer the following questions.

The radar graph shows the number of officers and workers in a company for five different years.

Solution:

Total number of employees in year 2011 = 6000 + 3500 = 9500

Total number of graduate employees in the year 2011 = 3250 × 2 = 6500

⇒ Total number of non-graduate employees in the year 2011 = 9500 – 6500 = 3000

Total number of non-graduate officers in the year 2011 = 3000 ×

\frac{15}{100}

= 450

Total number of graduate officers of a company in the year 2011 = 6500 ×

\frac{70}{100}

= 4550

∴ Required percentage =

\frac{450}{4550}

× 100

= 9.89% ≈ 10%
