Benzene diazonium chloride undergoes Sandmeyer reaction in presence of $\mathrm{Cu}_2\mathrm{Cl}_2$ while undergoes Gattermann reaction in presence of $\mathrm{Cu}/\mathrm{HCl}$ to give chlorobenzene along with nitrogen gas $(\mathrm{N}_2)$.
