We know,

T = \; \frac{2 \pi (R+x)}{v}

[ as

\omega = \; \frac{v}{r} ]

= \; \frac{2 \pi (R+x)}{ \sqrt{ \; \frac{G M}{R+x} } }

which is independent of mass of satellite
