The Banaras Hindu University (BHU), located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is Asia’s largest residential campus. The university’s main campus is spread over 1,350 acres. The university, a brainchild of freedom fighter and social reformer Madan Mohan Malaviya, was established in 1916.
