Now a days PCR & RAPD technique are used for the characterisation of in vitro clonal propagation in plants. PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) and RAPD (Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA) are used to detect variations among and within the species and clones of a plant. RAPD also used to evaluate the genetic stability of micropropagated plants.
