SN2 reaction are bimolecular reactions where rate of reaction depends on the concentration of both substrate and nucleophile. When OH− attacks the substrate from the opposite side of the leaving group i.e., Br− a transition state results, to which both OH and Br are partially bonded to carbon atom.
