yellow and rest is green. If the length of the green portion of the pole is 12.08 meters. What is the length of the pole?

Solution:

The part of green portion

=1-\left(\frac{1}{10}+\frac{1}{20}+\frac{1}{30}+\frac{1}{40}+\frac{1}{50}+\frac{1}{60}\right)

=1-\frac{60+30+20+15+12+10}{600}

=1-\frac{147}{600}=\frac{453}{600}

Now,

\frac{453}{600}x = 12.08

\therefore x = \frac{12.08\times 600}{453}

=\frac{1208\times 6}{453}

= 16 m

Hence, length of the pole = 16 m
