Solution:

(d) New quantity of item D

\frac{40 \times 150}{100} = 60

quintal

New price/kg of item D

= 90% of ₹ 12.5

= \frac{12.5 \times 90}{100}

= ₹ 11.25/kg

∴ Total price

= \text{₹} (60 \times 100 \times 11.25)

= \text{₹} 67500
