(3) Gir Forest Sanctuary is spread over Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Amreli districts of Gujarat. Established in 1965, it is also a National Park and the sole home of the Asiaticlions (Panthera leo persica).Seven major perennial rivers flow through the sanctuary.
