(2) Ozone Layer is important because it protects Earth from ultraviolet radiation. It contains high concentrations of ozone (O3) in relation to other parts of the atmosphere. Most atmospheric ozone is concentrated in a layer in the stratosphere, about 15 to 30 km above the Earth's surface.
