(2) Ozone Layer is important because it protects Earth from ultraviolet radiation. It contains high concentrations of ozone (O3​) in relation to other parts of the atmosphere. Most atmospheric ozone is concentrated in a layer in the stratosphere, about 15 to 30 km above the Earth's surface.
