In 30 litres of mixture,
Milk =

= 25.5 litres
Water = 30 – 25.5 = 4.5 litresOn adding 12.5 litres of water
Total quantity of water
= 4.5 + 12.5 = 17 litres
∴ Required ratio of milk andwater
= 25.5 : 17 = 1.5 : 1 = 3 : 2
