Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) or Ayushman Bharat was launched by the Prime Minister of India in September 2019. This scheme offers a cover of up to ₹ 5 lakhs per family a year for secondary and tertiary care. It does not need any payment to avail the benefits. Cashless treatment is available at all public and empanelled private hospitals. Pre– existing diseases are also covered under PMJAY.
