● Separation of the judiciary from the executive comes under article 50 i.e Directive Principles of State Policy ( Part IV ) of the Indian Constitution. ● Part III of the Indian Constitution deals with Fundamental Rights. ● Article 20(3) - No person accused of an offense shall be compelled to be a witness against himself. (Right to Freedom (Article 19-22)) ● Article 20(2) - no person shall be prosecuted and punished for the same offense more than once i.e no double jeopardy. ● Article 22 - Protection against arrest and detention in certain cases.
