Trees lose leaves in absence of moisture. Irregular tree growth.
Mesophyticplants. Trees do not shed their leaves altogether due to high rainfall and humidity.
Similar to moist deciduous but grows in comparatively less rainfall. Transitional canopy from moist deciduous to thorn forests. Undergrowth and grasses are prominent.
These are closed evergreen forests. Trunk shave large girth. Branches are clothed with mosses, ferns, and other epiphytes. The trees rarely achieve a height of more than 6 meters
