The first meeting of the constituent assembly was held on 9th December 1946 . The Muslim League boycotted the meeting and insisted on a separate state of Pakistan . Hence statement 2 is not correct. The meeting was attended by only 211 members. Dr Sachchidananda Sinha was elected as the interim President of the assembly following the French practice of electing the oldest member as president . Hence statement 3 is correct. Dr Rajendra Prasad and H C Mukherjee were elected as the President and Vice-President of the Assembly respectively on 11th December 1946 . Sir BN Rau was appointed as the constitutional advisor to the Assembly. On December 13th, 1946 Jawaharlal Nehru moved the historic objective resolution in the Assembly which laid down the fundamentals and philosophy of the constitutional structure.
