Seven days after Cyclone Nivar hit the Marakkanam in Villupuram district, between Puducherry and Chennai , left three persons dead and causedconsiderable damage to crops and fields, besides leaving many areas inundated. A deep depression over the south-west Bay of Bengal has intensifiedinto cyclonic storm ‘ Burevi ’. Both the Cyclone names are given by Maldives .
