Question Numbers: 71-75
Read the passage carefully and answer the following questions.
Urban green spaces such as parks, gardens, and tree-lined streets play an important role in improving the quality of life in cities. Rapid urbanisation often leads to the reduction of natural areas, which affects both environmental balance and human well-being. Green spaces help reduce air pollution by absorbing harmful gases and releasing oxygen. They also regulate temperature by providing shade and cooling the surrounding environment. In addition to environmental benefits, such spaces promote physical and mental health. People use parks for walking, exercise, and relaxation, which reduces stress and improves overall health. Moreover, green areas encourage social interaction by providing common spaces where communities can gather. Therefore, urban planners increasingly recognise the need to preserve and expand green spaces as cities continue to grow.
